This individual is responsible for leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive WSP USA strategy, including digital communications and social media brand strategy, establishing and scaling effective brand communications. This position can be based out of any of our WSP USA offices. Duties and Responsibilities: -Leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive internal and external communications strategy -Serves as an on-the-record spokesperson with print, broadcast, and digital media -Handles crisis communications -Drafts and refines speeches, talking points, and other communications for company leadership, in a collaborative process -Takes primary responsibility for the timely development and disseminating of press materials, statements, and information requests -Leads polling, research, and focus group processes when appropriate -Supervises company’s social media and digital presence -Builds and maintains relationships with the relevant members of the news media -Advises senior leadership about the public-relations implications of company decisions -Manages and leads team communications team -Prepares principals and surrogates for interviews, editorial boards, and public appearances -Leads media trainings, message workshops, and scrimmages as needed -Assists with identifying, training, and deploying surrogates and third-party validators Talent is the essence of meeting our client’s objectives, goals and challenges. Minimum Qualifications: -Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications or advertising -Minimum of 15 years’ experience with transportation & infrastructure sector PR and communications experience -Demonstrated leadership experience shaping a proactive business strategy with a client-centric focus -Proactive and innovative strategist establishing with creative and nimble solutions -Proven development track record with print and social media; capable of responding to the demands of the media without compromising the client’s needs or company’s objectives -Leadership experience in developing teams, strategy and crisis management protocols -Exceptional written and oral communications -Advertising agency preferred About WSP USA WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
