The Team Deloitte Catalyst is an organization within Deloitte Consulting with the goal of building a culture of continuous innovation to drive profitable revenue through the identification, incubation, and actualization of breakthrough ideas in hybrid offerings. More specifically, the Product Management Team is responsible for designing, building, supporting and delivering groundbreaking new products, while managing our existing product portfolio of software, analytics and SaaS-based products. The User Experience Design team is central to how we create intuitive, innovative, beautiful and enjoyable products. We strive to learn and understand our users' needs, behaviors, and emotions to yield insights that inform product strategy and guide the design of the experiences we create and are looking for people who share our passion for translating ideas into relevant and innovative products in to solve business problems. Key responsibilities The UX Designer is responsible for working in partnership with the product strategy team (including business owners, product management, business architecture, engineering, and other designers) to solve complex user experience problems and articulate clear design requirements in a human-centered framework bull Represent the voice of the user(s) in business and product conversations and decisions. bull Participate in user research activities like user interviews, surveys, and usability studies. bull Translate research insights into product ideas and solutions. bull Create user flows, journey maps, and personas bull Create wireframes at a high level as well as building out refined details. bull Lightweight interactive prototype concepts for communication with the business, sales demos, development, and for usability studies. bull Be able to translate experience requirements for development and in some cases collaborate with visual designers to do so bull Gauge the usability of new and existing products to make constructive recommendations based on data, trends, and industry best practices. bull Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into elegant design decisions based on data, trends, and industry best practices. bull Present, articulate, and sell design ideas and recommendations to product management and business stakeholders. Team Member Responsibilities bull Contribute to team standards for 'what is good experience design' and design quality, including keeping our UI design pattern library up to date. bull Be a valued, respected and respectful representative of the UX Team. Qualifications bull Bachelors degree or 2+ years of equivalent experience. bull 1+ years of experience in interaction design, HCI, graphic design, industrial design, computational design or related field. bull Experience creating process flows, user flows, prototypes, highly detailed wireframes and mockups for early stage ideas and complex web (enterprise preferred) applications. bull Core design skills information architecture, UX research and documentation, visual communication and hierarchy. Preferred Skills bull Experience designing from a UI design pattern library bull Experience using tools such as Axure for wireframing and interactive prototyping bull The ability to sketch and generate big-picture ideas for early-stage UX work bull Ability to seek opportunities to solve problems in unusual and innovative ways bull Knowledge of the Agile development process bull Experience working with remote team members on different time zones bull The ability to effectively communicate with architectsdevelopersengineersother designers bull Strong written and oral communication skills bull Self-starter with strong time management skills and the ability to be self-directed bull An understanding of what makes an experience good or bad is critical the ability to think through user problems, translate into reasonable solution designs bull Ability to handle working on multiple projects at the same time bull Knowledge of web development with familiarity of multi-platform development techniques bull Clear passion and enthusiasm for learning and pursuing their expertise bull Nice to have micro interaction knowledge Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future How You'll Grow At Deloitte, our professional development plan focuses on helping people at every level of their career to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
