Primary Responsibilities:

Lead and manage strategic maintenance capital expenditures portfolio and processes. This key role will develop relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to steer delivery of AMCs strategic Maintenance CapEx plan. Focus on life cycle planning, budgeting, and costing of all Maintenance CapEx Refrigeration, MHE, Energy, and Facilities, delivered through servant leadership, technical innovation, and execution of strategic business objectives. In this role, you will be responsible for development and deployment of the tools and processes that build talent capability to oversee Maintenance CapEx project management activities, including project leadership, project planning, project execution, project performance / control, and achievement of ROI. Director will lead the development and execution of engineering solutions for sunsetting equipment (R-22 Systems).

Essential Functions:

Establish and expend the AMC 5yr Maintenance Capital forecast and management program (Domestic and International) on all maintenance assets. Establish, direct, and oversee all aspects of Maintenance CapEx program and Maintenance CapEx Project Management Office (PMO) to deliver strategic objectives. Develop and provide relevant monthly and quarterly reporting that supports CapEx implementation / monitoring / forecasting, highlights off target performance, and establishes best practice management routines for tracking Maintenance CapEx. Lead a team comprised of 3 Managers, and 1 Capital Analyst Provide end-to-end solutions support for Facility Maintenance Engineering, ROI Engineering validation, and Maintenance CapEx project management support and requests. Institute Maintenance Criticality Analysis (MCA), calculate weighted Maintenance Priority Indexes (MPI) to prioritize Maintenance CapEx spend to increase Asset Sustainability Index (ASI). Develop out models and strategic initiatives to optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and lead capital decision analysis processes. Lead the overall coordination of Maintenance CapEx planning process and ensures utilization and integrity of business systems to provide accurate view of plans. Actively participate with the Regional Facility Service Directors to identify TCO and Landed cost of proposed Maintenance CapEx solutions. Responsible for the creation, accuracy and validation of key Maintenance CapEx metrics and benchmarking metrics that deliver to the overall strategic plan. Analyze current spend by categories and identify Value Engineering opportunities. Partners with AMCs strategic sourcing to coordinate procurement activities, and negotiate multi-assets, multi-sites, multi-regional projects to ensure the best impact and benefits to the sites, the functions and competitive advantage for AMC in terms of fit, form, and function. Work with various general contractors in developing solutions for Maintenance CapEx needs (buildings, equipment replacement / upgrades, and general construction). Work with Regional & Site Leadership teams to develop cost estimates and implementation schedules for Maintenance CapEx & ROI projects. Educate, Train and Enforce sourcing, procurement, and CapEx Process Management and policies with business processes and business unit associates. Develop supplier capabilities and solutions to anticipate new business needs and develop future roadmap based on industry developments and position AMC as the leader. Consults with AMC regional leadership to appropriately establish Maint. CapEx budget, spend tracking and provide overall governance oversight of regional budgets. Work with supplier and AMC teams to secure timely delivery of agreed upon equipment & services. Work with construction project management team in assessing buildings for our use/purchase and estimating re-commissioning of closed facilities Perform other duties as required.


Education, Training & Professional Experience:

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or related field Preferred candidates will have an MBA 7+ years of related work experience in capital expenditure planning / execution Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Finance, and Legal SAP experience preferred Strong project management and vendor negotiation skills Strong analytical skills required Strong customer service and servant leadership orientation Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to interact with all management levels within the Americold organization, both up and down as well as with external contacts. Solid computer skills required, primarily with Microsoft Excel and Project software. Knowledge and skills using AutoCAD software is a plus.
